Network Engineer –Multicast – Switching - Routing – Cisco – London. A high frequency trading provider and market maker seeks to hire a Network Engineer to join a high performance, low latency networking team in London. The Network Engineer gain exposure to the latest technologies, work with a low latency network spanning over 5 countries, work on complex multicasting projects and gain extensive experience working closely with front office users, developers and system administrators across Asia, Europe and the US. The client is within the top 10 high frequency and proprietary trading companies globally, their reputation is one of technology innovation, staff investment and hiring exceptional talent from within the finance community. The Network Engineer does not require any finance experience as full training will be provided, however experience gained working within business critical network environment will be given preference by the client.

The Network Engineer will:

• Work as part of a global network team monitoring and troubleshooting low latency network environments across several continents-
• Provide 2^nd & 3^rd level support for network technologies
• Design and implement network and security based solutions as part of this global team
• Analyse and troubleshoot network performance issues
• Provide technical expertise dealing with advanced HFT – network connectivity fault resolution
• Work closely with development, data centre and projects teams

The Network Engineer will have:

• Low-Latency network environment experience
• Experience of client-server architecture and network support
• L2 Switching / L3 Routing technologies
• Experience working with high performance networking
• Experience liaising with traders and technology staff
• Solid Cisco experience
• Experience with Multicasting – PIM / IGMP / MSDP
• Scripting / Automation experience – Python – Perl – Bash - Ansible
• Experience with VPNs
