Java Software Engineer – New expanding team where the successful Java Software Engineer will be integral to the design and development of brand new real-time portfolio management platform. No finance experience is required for this position. The client is an established, global electronic Brokerage with clients across frequency trading and institutional investors. The Java Software Engineer will work closely with platform architect and Senior Engineer to assist with the design and development of this exciting venture.

The Java Software Engineer will:

• Take partial responsibility for the design and development of new real-time trading platform
• Take responsibility for software implementation as part of project
• Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and report directly to the CTO
• Suggest and implement new ideas into the code base

The Java Software Engineer will have:

• At least 3 years commercial development experience
• Must have proven experience building robust software applications
• Strong Core Java Development experience
• Perl, Python or Shell Scripting experience
• Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with senior stakeholders

The Successful Java Software Engineer will learn a new business domain in a short period of time, influence the design and development of this product for this highly important client facing system and work directly with a small highly experienced team
