Java Developer – Java 8 – Enterprise systems – London. A Java Software Engineer is required to join a team responsible for the design and development of enterprise software systems within their transactional messaging division. The team are responsible for the development and enhancement of real-time messaging, trade processing and regulatory reporting solutions used internationally. The Java Software Engineer will work closely with Systems Architect, Development Management and UI team to re-develop, enhance and build new solutions within this expanding business area.

The Java Software Engineer will:

• Work on greenfield development projects within transactional messaging
• Work closely with System Architect to design applications
• Be involved through the full development life cycle of projects
• Re-develop as part of a team an entire transactional messaging system
• Work closely with UI developers to improve functionality
• Work with front office users to improve data usage
• Work with teams in New York to collaborate of delivery on global basis
• Be involved in deployment of new solutions

The Java Software Engineer will need to have:

• Strong core Java Development experience
• Worked with Java 6 and ideally Java 8 - All new code will be written in Java 8
• Experience developing Enterprise systems
• Experience of transactional messaging and/or reporting systems
