Technical Support Specialist - Scripting – Linux – Switzerland. A Technical Support Specialist is urgently required by a global brokerage to join their European headquarters based in Switzerland. The client is the World's largest online FX brokerage and is renowned for their online platforms speed, reliability and functionality. The Technical Support Specialist will provide support for trading applications, operation software, work on automation projects across the clients online brokerage platform

The Technical Support Specialist will: 

• Take responsibility for technical operation support across the business that includes trading application, software/hardware issues, market data and exchange connectivity
• Configuration, installation and upgrade of hardware and software
• Troubleshoot and resolve market data connectivity and exchange connectivity issues
• Resolve complex real-time trading application issues
• Perform real-time monitoring of systems for errors, failures and monitoring batch processes
• Maintain and perform support of security systems

The Technical Support Specialist will have:

• A degree in a STEM related subject
• At least three years commercial trading systems related support experience
• Candidates must have Linux / Unix experience
• Scripting experience – Perl, Python, Shell or Bash
• Experience working with development and testing teams
• Strong English communication skills
