Infrastructure Specialist – London – Windows – PowerShell. Technology driven Asset Management organisation with over £50 billion under management seeks to hire an experienced Infrastructure Specialist for a newly created team in London. Opportunity to be part of a team assisting with the implementation of automation across the IT infrastructure working with PowerShell technology, but client is open to introducing open source technology also.

The Infrastructure Specialist will;

• Work on operation-based Infrastructure projects
• Provide 2^nd line network support
• Provide 3rd line support for BAU and chance requests from the business
• Take leadership on major IT escalations
• Infrastructure improvement including IT security
• Provide technical guidance to change and delivery teams
• Design, configure and maintain IT infrastructure services across the business
• Several key automation initiatives are taking place in 2019, the Infrastructure Specialist will be key to these projects
• Be hands on supporting high level infrastructure issues – Server and Automation related issues

The Infrastructure Specialist will have:

• Proven infrastructure support experience 
• Networking experience – BGP- OSPF, Multicasting
• Windows Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016
• PowerShell scripting experience
• Active Directory management experience
• VMWare experience
• Experience or interest in Linux technology highly desirable
• Financial services experience is desirable but not essential

The client seeks an Infrastructure Specialist that can bring new ideas and research new technology that will improve reliability on infrastructure whilst assisting with the implementation of automation procedures across the business.
