Application Support Engineer - Windows - Unix - SQL - London Technology driven US Asset manager and Fortune 500 business with £1 trillion under management is expanding their London based application engineering team and seeks to hire an Application Support Engineer. The client is one of the most reputable Asset Managers on a global scale with expansive reach across a number of global markets. 

The Application Support Engineer will:

• Be responsible for providing first class BAU support
• Work closely with a range of front office and back office applications
• Provide application support to a large environment of professional associates
• Work on a range of both in-house developed applications as well as 3rd party applications

The Application Support Engineer will have experience with:

• SQL Server experience – writing stored procedures, queries
• Unix – Linux experience
• Windows Server experience – 2012/2016
• Scripting experience – PowerShell/Bash/Perl
• FIX Messaging – Not essential but highly desirable
• Knowledge of Financial data/systems or data warehousing

The Application Support Engineer will be:

• Able to adapt to new and changing technologies
• An excellent manager of time and personal organisation
• Able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively and efficiently both as part of a team and individually
• Able to demonstrate attention to detail whilst hitting critical deadlines
