Network Administrator – London. Miller Maxwell has partnered with global Asset Management organisation, with over $200 billion under management. They seek to expand their network engineering team with need to hire a Junior Network Administrator to support their internal networks infrastructure providing 1st line network support will include switches, firewalls, VPN’s and all related network hardware.

The Asset Manager is known globally with reach across Asia, Europe and the US and is regarded for technical innovation and cutting-edge trading solutions to their global customer base.

The Network Administrator will:

• Provide network support for internal network infrastructure.
• Support firewall and switch solutions.
• Switch and router support.
• Implementation of both wired and wireless voice networks.
• 1st line support of VOIP System.
• 1st line support of internal Wireless system.
• Monitor network performance and resolve any issues.
• Data centre environment support which will include racking and cable patching.
• Partake in clients out of hour's shift rota – 7:00 to 18:30.

The Network Administrator should have:

• A background in IT Service Desk Support / Desktop Support
• At least 1 year of networking experience.
• Be highly motivated to move into an Network Administration position.
• At least 3 years commercial network support experience.
• Switching & Routing experience.
• Firewall experience.
• Willingness to partake in out of hours support
• Willingness to travel to Data centre's in South-east.
• Financial Services experience beneficial but not essential.

The Network Administrator will have the opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment for a prominent Asset Management organisation. Work closely with management to improve network environment and introduce new tools and concepts to improve reliability and speed.
