Software Engineer - Java / Python - Join a brand new team building a new data driven platform used globally. Working from home and remote onboarding. MillerMaxwell is assisting one of the most successful propriety trading houses globally, they are expanding a number of areas of their business with a need to hire in a new team. They are a technically dynamic, highly profitable organisation with a highly experience team. Their will be scope to learn new tech, functional programming and be involved in a number of exciting tech innovations. 

They are looking for a genuinely passionate Java Software Engineer or Python Software Engineer, with a very strong academic record. The ideal background for this role is some who has interest in large data and emerging tech, with experience working hard to a day to day basis to meet deadlines and deliver on critical analytics and reporting.

The Software Engineer will:

• Work as part of a team building a new platform.
• Interact with different teams across the business. 
• Working within compliance technology teams.
• Work in a full development life cycle environment.
• Work with large data sets and build experience working with financial data. 
• Ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
• Producing reports and analytics to monitor behaviour

• A degree in a STEM related subject.
• Commercial experience with Java or Python
• Use of Git
• Interest in cloud computing
• Ability to work with large data sets
• Eagerness to work emerging technologies
• Ability to creatively solve issues
• Diligent, attentive, and hardworking
