Support Analyst - Trading - Java - Unix - London [City]. A leading global provider of multi-broker, real-time trading systems urgently seeks to hire an Application Support Specialist for their expanding office in London. The Application Support Analyst will gain experience of working with clients on both the buy-side and the sell-side. This is a fantastic opportunity to support this market leading, global, low-latency, cross-asset class trading platform. You will be utilising the latest software and techniques on the market with their innovative and dynamic low-latency trading products.

The client is expanding due to the growth and success of their real-time low-latency trading products. They have a sophisticated product range supplied to blue chip international clients. This leading financial services organisation have offices in; London, Paris, Tokyo, Singapore, Chicago, Sydney, Geneva, Sao Paulo, New York and Hong Kong.

The responsibilities of the Application Support Analyst will be;

• Liaise with front office users at brokerages and investment banks
• Support and maintenance of all server side trading system components
• Identification and resolution of all risks to service delivery
• Incident and problem management of complex issues
• Real-time system monitoring
• Leadership of projects including operational and system efficiency

The Application Support Analyst will need;

• A minimum of 3 years supporting real time trading systems
• Experience supporting Java applications in a Unix/Linux environment
• Experience working within the finance sector
• Strong Unix, working with on a day to day basis
• Extensive troubleshooting and problem solving experience inc basic network troubleshooting
• Scripting- ideally Ruby
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work with and influence seniors across the business
