Technical Support Analyst – Algorithmic Trading – Amsterdam. Miller Maxwell is assisting a global high-performance electronic trading organisation expanding their technical support team in Amsterdam to provide support for a low-latency algorithmic trading plaform (the businesses core systems) and front office users trading on the platform. The Trading Support Analyst will be supporting a sophisticated, leading-edge trading platform used by front-office traders within Europe. The Technical Support Analyst will gain experience of exchange connectivity, market data feed support and low-latency trading.

The Technical Support Analyst will;

• Work in a live production trading environment
• Support a real-time trading platform
• Troubleshoot, monitor and analyse trades
• Deploy new trading applications
• Work closely with front office traders
• Support Order management, exchange connectivity, Algo trading suites
• Troubleshoot FIX protocol – FIX connectivity issues
• Test and execute production changes

The Technical Support Analyst will need:

• A degree in a STEM related subject
• At least 5 + years commercial application, software or trading system support experience
• Solid Linux experience.
• Proven SQL Server experience.
• Scripting experience – Bash, Shell or Python
• Experience of FIX Protocol – FIX Connectivity - beneficial - not essential.
