Software Applications Specialist – London. This requirement is an Applications Change opportunity and does not require day-to-day application support. The Wealth Managers change and projects team take ownership for over 40 trading based applications used across the business so proven application change experience is essential for this position. The client offers flexible working. Highly successful Wealth Manager, highly, with over £45 billion under management seeks to hire an Software Applications Specialist for their team in London. The client is one of the most reputable Wealth Managers in the market and is renowned for their technology investment, career development and giving technologist’s exposure to the markets working closely with front-office users.

The Software Applications Specialist will:

• Work as part of applications change and projects team. 
• Design and build changes to new and existing applications – applications installations, server setups
• Resolve and manage application change requests
• Undertake analysis and IT security assessments as part of the applications projects team
• Coordinate with IT teams to deliver application changes that impact, server, network, DBA, testing and operational teams.
• Work closely with 3rd party vendors to plan application road maps
• Coordination of application releases and changes

The Software Applications Specialist will need to have:

• At least 10 years commercial application support experience
• Proven Application change experience. 
• Internal and external stakeholder management experience. 
• Worked ideally within financial services industry
• Experience of change, release and environment management
• Experience working within Windows operating systems domain
• Strong knowledge of application ecosystems – installation, desktops, networks, databases, servers, IIS, Security
• Strong SQL database experience – SQL queries, stored procedures
• Experience working within Agile / Waterfall environments
• Ability to manage multiple projects and liaise with senior business stakeholders
