IT Operations Analyst - Leading Equities brokerage, seeking to hire an IT Operations Analyst, focused on the maintenance, upgrade and enhancement of core electronic trading systems used by their front-office teams. Over the past fifteen years the Equities business has grown exponentially from privately funded start-up to a globally renowned equities execution and trading venue. The IT Operations Analyst will work as part of a highly experienced team. Excellent training, career growth and scope to gain valuable experience working with high performance financial product driven environment gaining valuable experience of low-latency trading and market data solutions.

The IT Operations Analyst will:

• Day-to-day maintenance, upgrade and enhancement of equities trading platform.
• 1st and 2nd line technical resolution for financial market participants.
• Build relationships and share knowledge with internal IT Infrastructure, Trade Surveillance and Engineering teams.
• Monitor systems to improve performance and reliability.
• Provide reports to senior stakeholders.
• Deploy changes/configurations to improve electronic trading software.
• Become a subject matter expert within the equities space.
• Adopt and implement automation and monitoring tools where appropriate.
• Write basic scripts using tools such as Python.

The IT Operations Analyst will have:

• A degree in a related subject.
• 3-5 years experience within Linux environments.
• Experience of production software - software applications in a live environment.
• Have solid Scripting experience - Python - Perl - Bash/Shell.
• GIT - Jira experience highly beneficial.
• Keen interest to work in an automation environment.
• Experience of UK - US equities markets highly beneficial.
