Technical Analyst required by global investment banking group, working within their electronic trading division the Technical Analyst will be part of a technical operations and engineering team enhancing and improving a real-time electronic trading environment. 

The role will give the Technical Analyst exposure to low-latency trading, market data, order management and exposure to working with automation tools. The Investment banking group is global with offices in 50 global locations, they are investing significantly in technology innovation during 2022 and beyond. 

The Technical Analyst will:

• investigate and resolve technical trading and platform issues. 
• Monitor trading platform, underlying infrastructure environment and exchange connections.
• Identify and resolve implementation issues.
• Work with software engineering teams to improve latency.
• Write basic scripts using tools such as Bash, Shell, Perl or Python.
• Linux operation system support.
• Be involved in a number of high-profile projects taking place in 2022 and beyond.

The Technical Analyst will have:

• A degree in a related subject.
• At least 2 years application, software support experience gained within the finance sector.
• Linux operation system experience.
• Scripting experience – Bash, Shell, Perl or Python.
• Experience of SQL.
• FIX Connectivity – FIX Protocol – FIX Gateway experience - desirable.
