C++ Software Engineer - London. Miller Maxwell is assisting a globally successful propriety, and the algorithmic trading organisation seeks to hire a C++ Software Engineer for their expanding team in London. The C++ Software Engineer will work on the client’s core trading engine as part of their core engineering team.

They are looking for a C++ Software Engineer with proven C++ programming experience with algorithmic and data-focused development experience. The Successful C++ Software Engineer will be expected to take ownership of all aspects of trading strategy code including exchange connectivity, performance, and trading algorithms.

The C++ Software Engineer responsibilities:

• Take ownership of full development life cycle projects.
• Build new components by working closely with the front-office trading teams.
• Work to improve their core in-house developed trading platform and surrounding technology infrastructure.
• Identify areas for improvement and enhancements.
• Testing & Debugging.

Required Skill for the C++ Software Engineer:

• A degree in a STEM-related subject.
• At least five years of commercial C++ development experience
• Financial Services environment experience.
• Experience within market data – low-latency or algorithmic-based environments.
• Unix – Linux experience.
• Scripting experience.
