Systems Administrator – Unix - Linux.  Global brokerage that is an innovator at the forefront of technology innovation within real-time trading sector. Based in New York City they seek to hire a Systems Administrator for their Technology Group responsible for systems, trading systems, and network administration for Unix/Linux servers across the business. Their success is due to investment in technology, their ability to attract the best talent in major cities globally and their continued development of low-latency network 

architecture.

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for:

• Systems configuration
• Network configuration - Basic
• Managing and Supporting large Unix based server estate in a live production environment
• Customisation of Unix servers, installation and upgrades
• Security, reliability and resilience of systems environment
• Capacity planning
• Disaster recovery planning
• Event and report management
• Work with team in Asia and the US
• Work on global projects

The Systems Administrator will have:

• 5 years commercial Unix/Linux systems administration experience
• Scripting experience
• Network configuration experience - Basic level
• Virtualisation experience – VMWare - Docker
• Experience with network installation – Kickstart – Jumpstart
• Experience working within financial services
