Senior Systems Engineer – Linux – Python – Ansible – London –. Part of a projects-based team automating electronic trading processes across this global organisation. The Senior Systems Engineer’s goal will be to use their experience to support and automate the organisation’s core platform and systems such as surveillance, order management, and execution management software.

The Senior Systems Engineer will:

• Work as part of a team to automate a global electronic trading platform.
• Work with a projects team to improve platform functionality and reliability.
• Manage deployment of software
• Working directly with software engineering teams to improve trader experience.
• Write, implement and support automation scripts
• Maintenance and investigation of software bugs
• Assisting team to resolve build/deployment issues
• Monitor system health – use sophisticated techniques to resolve errors and outages

The Senior Systems Engineer will have:

• A degree in STEM-related subjects.
• Highly proficient using Python.
• Linux experience – RedHat/CentOS
• Ansible - Terraform experience
• Systems administration experience.
• CI – CD pipeline experience
• Experience supporting software within a financial services environment.

This permanent position will require travel to the client's office 5 days per week. The office location is St Paul’s tube station. The electronic trading venue is known for investing in new cutting-edge technology as well as investing in its staff.
