Data Centre Engineer – London. Global financial services and trading organisation requires a Data Centre Engineer for their expanding team in Europe. The position will offer flexibility to work remotely and require travel to London based data centres, as well as travel to European data centres. The company are at the forefront of high-frequency trading, the successful Data Centre Engineer can progress into a senior data centre position, networking or systems administration in the future.

The Data Centre Engineer will be responsible for:

• Configuration of Linux, Windows and Network Hardware
• Racking and stacking servers
• Liaise with System Administrators and Network Engineers
• Troubleshoot and diagnose servers issues
• Travel to European data centres to install and repair hardware
• Management of asset tracking.
• Maintenance of data center documentation and systems 

The Data Centre Engineer will have:

• Good knowledge of data centre support
• Linux and networking experience
• Experience of racking and stacking servers
• Computer Hardware experience
• Cabling connectivity knowledge
• Hold a valid driving license
• Good organisational and analytical skills 

The Data Centre Engineer will gain experience of the latest technologies deployed within the low latency finance community and you must also be willing to work in a team and rapidly improve your skillset.
