Software Engineer in Test - Miller Maxwell has partnered with a rapidly expanding FinTech organisation. The organisation is a leading provider of Distributed Ledger technology to the investment banking sector. As their client list of tier one investment banks is growing fast, they are looking to expand their platform engineering team with a view to automation software procedures. The successful Software Engineer in Test will be responsible for test automation across the business working closely with software engineers to improve platform performance. 

The Software Engineer in Test will:

• Develop automated test scripts
• Assist Testing Manager with analysis of requirements to develop new processes
• Investigation of architecture and design/identify testing requirements
• Identifying and reporting bugs, analysing requirements and checking fixes resolve any problems
• Take overall responsibility for testing working closely with software engineering teams
• Work closely with senior stakeholders
• Assist with hiring process of any new testing engineers and training

The Software Engineer in Test will need to have:

• Proven Automation testing experience
• Automation tools experience
• Java programming experience – ability to read and understand source code
• Experience in a TDD environment
• Demonstrable experience working on large client/server projects
• Experience writing unit tests
• Performance and Regression testing experience
• Financial experience is advantageous but not imperative
